SISTERS, a proposal by Mathilde Court for Ensemble Vide

Sisters is a project that focuses on electronic music composed by women and allows audiences to discover generations of artists who explore, in many different forms, sound production broadcast through loudspeakers. With a film screening, a double electronic music concert, and an experimental music workshop for children and young people, intergenerational audiences with different affinities will be able to experience their first encounter with experimental sounds or nurture an already established passion.

This is the first project by Ensemble Vide in Lausanne, at the CALM contemporary art center, which is presenting the work of French artist Niels Trannois from February 8 to April 4, 2025.

Ensemble Vide is a research and creation platform focused on experimental music, co-directed by Mathilde Court, Petra Krausz, and Denis Schuler. Each season, we produce four to five events that explore the richness of sound art in connection with related disciplines. Reflection on performance venues, scenography, and audience perception of content plays a major role. Accessibility, active and participatory listening, and creative journeys are part of our vocabulary. We invite various Swiss and international artists, and the organization is based in Geneva.
