Grandee Dorji, Le Repas, 2023
Grandee Dorji (b. 1996, CHN/FR), graduate with a Bachelor in Visual Arts from ECAL (Lausanne) and currently pursuing a Master’s at HEAD (Geneva), presents a new version of his documentary Le Repas for the framework program of the exhibition "All my loved ones like to fight". As a continuation of the video and installation Papers, please. on view in the exhibition space, Le Repas offers the audience an intimate entry into the artist’s life, who has been documenting his experiences since childhood. Situated between “semi-acting” and reality TV, Le Repas portrays the lives of young artists who have come to Switzerland to study, exploring their joys, doubts, and reactions as they confront the realities they encounter.
