Vox pop #1

As part of a ten-episode podcast programme developed in collaboration with the Lausanne-based webradio Radio 40 and the researcher and art historian Noémi Michel.

Our first radio exploration focuses on the residents of the Plaines-du-Loup and the Bossons neighbourhood, as well as passers-by, in order to create a spontaneous relationship to the question at hand. We aim for these formats to remain accessible and to act as a bridge between the inside and the outside of the Centre, and more broadly, between the public and the cultural field.

The full podcast can be listened to online or read in our magazine Meute #1.

So, the first question is: do you live in the neighbourhood?

Perry
My name is Perry, I’m 42 years old. I don’t live directly in the eco-district, but just next to the Vélodrome car park, in the neighbourhood near the old stadium — the former Stade de la Ponthèse.

GB
And what do you think of this new eco-district?

Perry
I find the concept quite interesting. I like coming here for walks, I come often. I have quite a few colleagues and friends who live here, so I enjoy visiting. I’m curious to see how it will evolve, how it will continue to develop. And I find the atmosphere really nice — lots of young people, lots of children, lots of life. Really nice, yes.

GB
And had you heard about the Centre d’Art de la Meute?

Perry
Heard about it? No. I walked past and saw that something related to art was being set up. But beyond that, no, I hadn’t heard about it yet.
