Léna Sophia Bagutti-Khennouf, R.u.in.es - version XS, 2025
Léna Sophia Bagutti-Khennouf is a choreographer and performer working in contemporary dance, performance, and the live arts. Attentive to the fractures generated by colonial violence and to diasporic destinies, she creates works that consider the body as a form of living archive, where memories, dreamlike landscapes, and embedded narratives are revisited and transformed.
Her work is first and foremost guided by the field of bodily expression, as she continually expands her dance practice by incorporating various disciplines encountered along her path, including elements of clowning, mime, and—most notably—vocal techniques.
Absence, uncertainty, wounding, reminiscence, and missing links are recurring motifs in her practice, inextricably tied to the vicissitudes of life.
