« Space sculpting is the term I started using to describe my work and myself because I think very tri-dimensionally. I used to have a lot of sculptural dreams, these sorts of nebulous undefined objects that are also a synesthetic sensation. I love the essay “Bopera theory” by Amiri Baraka, the cofounder of the Black Arts Movement, where he talks about moving beyond 5 senses… he says add five more and then we’ll be getting somewhere. »

« I think this is also part of being somebody who lives in the in-between, I have been born into a kind of liminality… I have this term Pastoral brutalism that I started using when I was at La Becque in 2022, for the residency, to describe the work that I do in this relationship between the rural and the desire for the concrete structure … I am obsessed with empty abandoned landscapes where nature starts to take over. »
